Interesting article about where phobias come from

That’s an interesting and very accurate article. I think direct associations are the easiest cause to identify in phobias because when we think of our current phobias and we can sometimes think of an event that did trigger that fear. I think identifying a phobia through observational learning would be quite difficult if we consider the amount of information and interaction available to us each day through the people around us, newspapers, tv etc. We sometimes don’t realise how much our brain really took that information in. For example I could watch something on TV that I didn’t pay much attention to or I didn’t think stirred me in anyway but then I may have a vivid dream or nightmare about it.
