In the past I have suffered from a number of phobias some of which have forced me to flee shopping centres and return home. Social anxiety/fear of crowds is one which I still struggle with but I get my strength from my family whom I focus on in times of trouble. It does not always work but very often it calms me down, takes my mind off the phobia and allows me to “regain control”.
