The official name for this is Trypanophobia and research suggests that between 20% and 30% of adults have a genuine fear of injections. How have you coped with your phobia injections? What advice would you give others?

I have suffered from a phobia of injections in the past and it was only when the medical condition was greater than the fear that I went for the injection. Big mistake!

The best way to tackle a phobia of injections is simply to look away, think of something else and it will be over in a matter of seconds.

Do you know anybody who "likes" injections? The idea of forcing a foreign body under your skin is by no means natural so I think to a certain degree we all have a phobia of needles. It is when this phobia becomes physical and mental challenge like no other that it becomes a problem. When I am forced to suffer needles I turn my head the other way and take myself into a "good place". Easier said than done sometimes!
