Hi everyone.

I'm dealing with a several dental phobia and anxiety and related PTSD. Basically anything about the dentist and dental treatment freaks me out. I've had panic attacks at the dentist office before.

I'm not coping. Looking for support.

Thanks.

I used to have panic attacks thinking of the dentist but I have a great dentist you explains everything to me, is understanding and puts me at ease. I dont like going to the dentist but I have no phobia/fear any more. The turning point for me was when the pain was greater than my fear.

Lets be honest, who doesnt suffer from a degree of dental phobia? However, like mentioned above, the reality of going for treatment is NEVER as bad as the fear.

One of the most useful ways to combat dental phobia needs to have a friendly and approachable dentist. If you let them know that you have phobia issues regarding dentistry they will talk you through what they are doing, the long-term plans for your teeth and ensure it is as pain-free as possible. Make sure you let them know you have issues!
